Why volunteer with The Friends of West Stow Anglo-Saxon Settlement?
Membership costs £15.00 for an adult, £30.00 for a family and lasts for one year. As a volunteer, you can enjoy:
- Free entry to the Anglo-Saxon Village, Anglo-Saxon Museum and Moyse’s Hall Museum (but please note that this does not apply at the Dragon Fest event in June)
- Keep up with what is happening at West Stow via our newsletter, twice a year
- 10% discount in the West Stow shop
- Access to a members area on the website
- A chance to get involved, make new friends and help visitors better understand West Stow
- An opportunity to learn more about our past and gain new skills in a range of activities
- Find out about our costume group, called Stowacynn, which reconstructs daily life of the early Anglo-Saxons

How can you support our work? Even if you live at a distance from West Stow, you can still support us
Many of our members, some of whom joined many years ago, pay their subscriptions each year because they want to support our work.
They agree to Gift Aid as part of their membership as they know that can help even more!
West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village is a unique place, reconstructed on its original site. Lots of people who join us are unable to volunteer as they live far away or simply do not have the time. However they do their bit to promote the understanding of the early Anglo-Saxons by paying their subscriptions.

How to join us?
Download the current membership form
Then:
- Fill in the membership form
- Please complete the Gift Aid section as that really helps us when we can claim back 25% of the membership fee
- Return the completed membership form by email – please scan it or take a photo and send it to membership@friendsofweststow.org.uk .
- We will email you with confirmation of your membership and payment, in place of a membership card. You can print this out or show it when visiting West Stow.
- If you are unable to use email, please tick the box in the ‘Post option’ part of the form. Send the completed form to the address shown there
- Please pay by bank transfer to the Friends account details shown. Payment for membership can no longer be made by cash or cheque.
